My personal guide to the best beaches
Singapore may be better known for its impressive architecture and vibrant city life, but there are still some beautiful beaches that are perfect for a relaxing getaway. But if you're expecting crystal clear waters like in the Maldives, you're in for a disappointment. The water quality is nothing like that. Here are some of the most beautiful beaches in Singapore

Palawan Beach: A paradies on Sentosa Island
My absolute favorite is Palawan Beach, which is located on Sentosa Island. This beach has everything I could wish for - powdery white sand and an idyllic setting. Like all the beaches on Sentosa, it has been artificially created, but they are accessible free of charge and there are even a few hanging loungers at Palawan Beach. One of the highlights of Palawan Beach is the Palawan Island Suspension Bridge. It connects Sentosa Island with a small offshore island, which is considered the southernmost point of continental Asia. Cross the bridge and enjoy the panoramic view of the sea and the surrounding islands.
Tanjong Beach: Beachclub and Relaxation on Sentosa Island
For a quieter and more secluded beach atmosphere with a beach club, I recommend Tanjong Beach. Here you can escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Tanjong Beach is perfect for sunbathing, relaxing and swimming in the calm sea. You can lie on the fine sand and enjoy the sun or cool off in the sea water. Volleyball is also often played.
Tanjong Beach is home to the famous Tanjong Beach Club. It is a popular place to meet up with friends on Sundays. The club offers sun loungers and parasols so that you can relax in comfort. The restaurant offers a selection of delicious food and refreshing drinks.
Tanjong Beach Club is also known for its events and beach parties. It regularly hosts DJs, live music events and other entertainment. It's a place where you can have fun, dance and enjoy the good vibes. Find out about upcoming events in advance to make sure you have a special experience during your visit to Tanjong Beach Club.
Siloso Beach: Beachparties on Sentosa Island
If you are looking for a combination of beach activities and entertainment, Siloso Beach is the perfect choice. Here you can try out water sports such as jet skiing, parasailing and beach volleyball. The beach is also known for its lively party atmosphere and regularly hosts events and music festivals. Soak up the sun, dance on the beach and let yourself be carried away by the rousing atmosphere.
Lazarus Island Beach
Nestled away from the bustling crowds of Sentosa lies Lazarus Island Beach, a hidden gem within the Singapore Southern Islands. This secluded oasis offers a tranquil escape for those seeking respite from the city's hustle and bustle.
Stretching over 800 meters, Lazarus Island Beach boasts soft white sands and clearer water providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation.
However, visitors should come prepared, as there are no shops or restaurants on the island. It's essential to bring along all necessary amenities, including mats, towels, water, and refreshments. Additionally, adhering to Leave No Trace principles is crucial, as there are no waste bins available.
Connected to neighboring isles such as St. John's and Seringat Island, Lazarus Island Beach forms part of a picturesque archipelago waiting to be explored. Whether you arrive by private boat, charter, or ferry, Lazarus Island Beach promises a day of tranquility amidst unspoiled natural beauty.
