If you love discovering places in Singapore that feel a little more local and less touristy, then you should definitely visit the Golden Landmark Shopping Complex.

To be honest, when you first step inside, you might wonder if you came to the right place. Compared to Singapore’s polished malls, Golden Landmark feels a little old, slightly dusty, and almost forgotten. But trust me—don’t judge this place too quickly.

Because hidden behind its rather unassuming exterior are some real treasures.

And honestly? Places like this are exactly what I love most about Singapore.

Custom Jewelry in Singapore

One of the main reasons I keep coming back to Golden Landmark is the opportunity to get individual jewelry made.

You’ll find several small shops selling:

Silver jewelry

Jewelry with gemstones

Customized and handmade pieces

If you are looking for a meaningful souvenir, a gift, or simply want to design a unique piece for yourself, this is such a special experience. Instead of buying mass-produced jewelry, you can often customize designs and create something much more personal.

A Hidden Spot for Fragrance Lovers

If you know me, you know I absolutely love fragrance - especially unique scents you don’t find everywhere.

And Golden Landmark has exactly that.

One perfume store I can really recommend is The Alchemist, which offers beautiful niche fragrances and unique scents that feel very different from mainstream perfumes. It’s the perfect place if you enjoy discovering something more special or are looking for a fragrance that not everyone else wears.

Besides perfumes, you’ll also find scents inspired by the Middle East and Dubai—some of which are difficult to find in Europe.

Why I Think Golden Landmark Is Worth Visiting

Golden Landmark Shopping Complex may not be the fanciest mall in Singapore—but that’s exactly what makes it interesting.

It has a very authentic, slightly old-school charm and feels completely different from places like Orchard Road.

Instead of luxury storefronts, you’ll find small independent shops, hidden gems, and a more local atmosphere. Especially if you enjoy discovering unusual places and shopping experiences beyond the typical tourist hotspots, I think you’ll really enjoy this mall.

My tip: Don’t rush through it. Take your time to browse—sometimes the best finds are completely unexpected.
